Donate Online to Rossendale Hospice

CORPORATE GIVING

Gifts of money to UK charities by companies are made before tax is deducted (i.e. out of gross income/pre-tax profits). The gift is treated as a charge on income.

You may like to support us by full or part sponsorship of an event such as our Annual Charity Ball or Ladies Lunch? Or perhaps you could donate a percentage of your sales to Rossendale Hospice and associate it to raise awareness of the brand/product?

Sunday Best, Rossendale's very own designer boutique has been a supporter of the Hospice for many year's. We are very grateful to the owner Jan Shutt, who chose the Hospice to benefit from all profits made from sales of her designer eco bag which to date has raised over £1000.

Jan Shutt says
“I admire the enormous efforts that the fundraisers put in to keep the Hospice going. Without financial support from companies and individuals, the Hospice would not be possible. Anyone who can originate an idea to raise funds, however mad the idea may be, can be in a win, win situation. Linking with the Hospice and helping a great cause, can at the same time raise your own company's brand and profile. Give it some thought! ”

DID YOU KNOW?

Donations of goods or equipment

A company can get tax relief if they donate items that they would normally sell. If you give items to Rossendale Hospice, they are not counted as a sale, so your company can get tax relief on the cost of the article.

Donation of employees

If your company provided an employee to work for Rossendale Hospice on a secondment or a temporary basis your company can deduct the costs of their employment, including the employee’s salary in the company’s accounts

Expertise

If employees are volunteering during work time, the company can claim tax relief for the employment costs incurred (employee’s salary). The company needs to treat the costs as a business expense when calculating chargeable profits for Corporation Tax purposes.
