“We have supported
Rossendale Hospice for many years now,” says
Senior Partner Roger Medlock. “But becoming
the hospice’s first ever Patron is something we
are really proud of.
“ We are keenly aware of the great work it does for
the community and how reliant it is on fundraising for
its existence. That’s why we have decided to formalise
our involvement.
“We hope that our commitment will act as a catalyst
for other businesses in the community to come forward and
become Patrons too.”
Hospice chairman Geoff Summers said: “We were
delighted to have Woodcocks as our first Patron. The
firm has an
excellent reputation and it has given us wonderful backing
now for many years.
“If this development encourages other local
firms to follow in their footsteps then I would be absolutely
delighted.
“From a practical point of view Woodcocks can
offer advice on how to leave legacies for the hospice
because
they have a well-respected expert in the field there.”
