Donate Online to Rossendale Hospice
 

HOW SHOULD I WORD MY WILL?

If you would like to leave a gift in your will to Rossendale Hospice, you may wish to consider the following suggested wording:-

Residuary: The remainder of your estate once all other legacies have been made and debts and expenses have been paid.

“ I give to Rossendale Hospice of New Cribden House, Rossendale PHCC, 161 Bacup Road, Rawtenstall BB4 7PL (“the Hospice”), registered charity no 1008228, all (or a ? share of) the residue of my estate, for the general charitable purposes of the Hospice and I declare the receipt of the Finance Director or other proper officer of the Hospice shall be a full and sufficient discharge.”

Pecuniary: When you would like to leave a specific sum of money

“ I give to Rossendale Hospice ofNew Cribden House, Rossendale PHCC, 161 Bacup Road, Rawtenstall BB4 7PL (“The Hospice”), registered charity no 1008228, the sum of £………. Free of tax (repeat the sum in words) for the general charitable purposes of the Hospice and I declare the receipt of the Finance Director or other proper officer of the Hospice shall be a full and sufficient discharge.”

Specific: Where you may like to leave a particular asset, such as property, shares or a personal possession.

“ I give to Rossendale Hospice of New Cribden House, Rossendale PHCC, 161 Bacup Road, Rawtenstall BB4 7PL (“The Hospice”), registered charity no 1008228, the (describe the item you wish to give to the hospice) for the general charitable purposes of the Hospice and I declare the receipt of the Finance Director or other proper officer of the Hospice shall be a full and sufficient discharge.”
